Food Fight!!!

I was asked to film a cake fight... and was paid to do it XD. Max Fried of Freed's Bakery had an idea to do a cake fight in reverse, he wanted it for the date 10-10-10. We sat on the idea for a bit, seeing how Max is busier then a one armed man trying to fight of a swarm of bees. But we were able to find time the weekend before 10-10-10. He was also able to have a friend write an original song for the video by Leeward Fate... who did a very good job, even more so for the amount of time we gave.

We filmed at 8 in the morning so that the heat would not melt the cake before we could film; lucky for us it was cloudy, keeping it cooler then most days. Max did most of the footwork on making sure we had enough people for the food fight, because who would want to watch a fight between a few people? One of the couples there, brought their little girl who from a scale “1 to cute” was a 10. But on a scale “1 to cooperate with the camera” was a 2. It took a lot to try and get her to do something cute for the camera, and lucky for use her parents started dancing which forced her “bust a move.”

We filmed with two Cameras making sure we got as many shots as possible. After the initial fight, we did little side things. We would line up everyone like a firing squad, then put one person in the middle, and begin to pummel the poor sap in the middle with cake and butter cream. Thank goodness I was the camera man.

For out luck again, we had some people sward fighting in the park... with real swards! We asked if we could use them for a scene and they were more then happy to help. So, we chased them with cake. It was a fun time and the video turned out great. I posted the link below.

I filmed for John Grey last week, the author of “Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus”. I I filmed for his coaching website, where he helps people live a better life at home and in the work place. We filmed at a hotel where he was teaching some classes to some of his life coaches.
Our green screen was set up in a small hotel room, very enclosed with not much room to work. The lights I brought caused the room to heat up in minutes, plus we had about eight people piled in... making it a bit stuffy. “Excuse me” were two common words passed around as people shuffled about.
For being such an important person (celebrity) John was very pleasant about the circumstances. Every few second a jet would fly over, or a bus would drive by, causing a lot of noise forcing us to pause. It took longer then anticipated, but the project came out nice... especially for a portable green screen posted up in a cramped room.

My friend Cozy Stone called me the other day, saying she was auditioning for “Shark Tank” the TV show. She is the inventor of the Cozy Sports Bra. And her tag line is, “Its not sexy, it's Cozy.” Which is pretty cleaver seeing how she is marketing it as a medical/comfortable sports bra.
Since it is more about her personality they wanted, we quickly made a audition video for her. I use an HD camera to film her, then went in afterward and enhanced the color and did basic edits. Here is a sample of the beginning. I put it next to the original footage, showing the difference in color enhancing it. The one we sent in was just the enhanced version and it was about 5 minutes long.
She had a small budget but wanted something nice and clean looking. So I brought some lights, hooked up a boom mic behind her manikin she had. There was horrible echos and sound from outside, so I made adjustments to the sound to make it seem more insulated. And from the amount of time we put into it, it came out nice and clean.

I turned 25 on the 19th of August, and decided to skydive in celebration of a third of my life pasted by. Because when I turn 75, I plan to skydive for the last time. ;)

I am still young, but old enough to know life is only memories. Some day I will be 75, looking back at the choices I made, that turned me into who I am and where I am. So time is now to make my life, the one where looking back would only be in appreciation, and not regret.

Even though I am petrified of heights, I am glad I jumped. And right before I jumped, the instructed Joe Kaufman who was strapped to may back extremely tight, whispers into my ear, “What is the difference between a hard-on and a Ferrari?” After a moment of silence he says, “I don't have a Ferrari.” For some reason my mind went blank as we leaped from the plane.
